Ajax Insurance Brokers is one of the first general insurance brokers in the country to be successful in their application to the Financial Services Authority (FSA) to carry out general insurance business under new regulations which come into force early next year.
At this stage the FSA notification says it is "minded" to authorise the Company as formal notification won't be sent out to any insurance business until later in the year.
"As soon as we knew about the new regulations we began preparing for our application to the FSA almost immediately" says David Bunting, Ajax Insurance Brokers' Managing Director.
"The regular briefing sessions held by IFAct and hosted by Axa have been very useful in helping us to prepare our application and it was at one of these regular meetings that John Derry-Collins of IFAct said they would provide a magnum of Champagne to the first firm to attain the necessary letter from the FSA and we have been absolutely delighted to have been able to take him up on the offer".
